Thank you for your interest in Ilmor. Regarding our V10’s and Indy Drives, we are limiting new production for the time being, but are still offering full service and parts support for product in the operation. We will be focusing heavily on our MV8 engine line where there is more growth opportunity for us under current market conditions.

Does anyone know if this includes developing a high performance stern drive that matches up to the MV8-570? (not twin prop...)
The MV8-570 calls for 91 octane minimum. Would like to see a slightly lower HP version that can safely run on 89 octane.
Maybe a MV8-530(?)

Have to ask and wondering a first post from OP and its about Ilmor not selling the V-10 anymore. Wonder if it is 100% legit. Just asking.

It's legit & was posted in another thread w/ a ILMOR Formula by ILMOR's sales & marketing rep.

They had been working on that for a few years w/ a 3rd party & I think the 3rd party let them down so I believe the Yanmar is the solution to all the V-8 stuff other than the 570 of which I don't believe there are many in circulation by comparison to their other V-8 offerings.

Thanks, Ian told me in person that he was retiring I think in June of this year. A younger guy was taking over in his place. Wonder if the this news had anything to do him retiring and hopefully all the employees will still have jobs. A lot of those guys and Jessica are very good people.

Nope!

Thanks, that's what I was afraid of. Really wish that 570 platform would take off. I have a go-fast, not ski-boat or cruiser...

One other comment. The 91 octane requirement probably isn't helping the sales growth of the 570.

I tried to get Formula to build me a 310FX5 w/ a pr of 570's & they said NO GO too fast for their liking, so that's when I was more involved w/ what was going on w/ their own drive development.

I don't know Bob, you buy a ZRC..... Donzi stops building them. You put Ilmors in it.... they stop making them.

Please don't put any pretty women or Jack Daniels in your boat!....... :lolhit:
