One other thing to look at is which drives are on the boat.
Many 496 packages came with Bravo 1 or Bravo X drives.
All the the 525's came with the Bravo Xr drives which are much stronger.

The other drives are fine for the stock 496 motors but will become a weak link if you want to upgrade the power down the road.

I'm not looking to upgrade the motors down the road, what I buy the boat with is what I'll be sticking with. This is why my decision is a tough one. I really don't want to be tearing motors down every 300 hours, but dang it I want to go fast! 1st world problems I guess.

They aren't the engine builder, interior builder, or controls/gauges manufacturer so I'm having a hard time seeing the need. Not to mention.. hustler, nor-tech, outerlimits, cigarette, AT, mystic, mti, statement, skater...etc ALL HAVE GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE... Who is still building boats that doesn't?

My money would be hooking to a 35 fountain if it were me buying and looking at those two. Not to mention the sunny's are grossly overpriced, you can get 35 lightnings with blue power for what people ask for the newer dominators with HO's. I'm not sure what warrants a high price on them.

LOL a 35 fountain over a 32 sunsation.

Additional comments on this? I agree that the Sunny boats are more pricy. Is the extra money worth a smaller boat?

Again, make sure you are talking apples to apples.
Compare these two Sunsations:

32 Sunsation Dominator:

32 Sunsation Dominator SS:

It depends on what Sunsation you are talking about.
The 32 Sunsation with the shorter freeboard will make you feel more "on the boat" compared to the 32 Sunsation SS model with taller freeboard, which will have more of an "in the boat" feel.

IN the boat makes it feel more secure and by virtue, a bit "bigger."

I would say the 35 Fountain is somewhere in between the two of them in the FREEBOARD category.

Sunny's have molded swim platforms and count that in the LOA also, just keep that in mind.

I have been in just about all of them climbing around looking before I bought
28 sunny.
32 pre 06 sunny
35 fountain this is a 32 no head room gas tank on both sides with left hand throttles
32 fountain actual a 29 no head room
30 outlaw typical Baja
33 outlaw big but cabin sucked
35 cig playboy great ride shallow cabin gas tanks on both sides
35 fasttech nice boat not fast but roomy and the cabin was not to bad with a good ride
32 sunsation innovator ( pretty trick boat but not to good if you go in and out of the cabin a lot with the dash lifting up )
This was my take on them but to each there own and that what makes the world go around. This is what I ended up with. I was on the fence to with the 35 fountain and the price you can get them for.
