Thank you,

Yea, this build is all straight up, numbers included. No BS, No need to, LOL Will post GPS speed when we get this thing in the boat and tweaked.

Engine will go in next week. Then we have to mock up tails and have CMI build those. (3 weeks out) My hopes, and the wife's demand, is back on the water the week of the 4th of July.

If you are using the Eickert Manifolds PM Glass Dave and he can put you in touch with one of the original Manifold designers that still builds tails. Very reasonable cost. Probably 1/4 cost of CMI and much better product.

Looks like a ball Papa! Congrats.

I'm finishing up my own similar project and always seeing how everyones combo works out for them.

Thanks for posting this all up - it's a lot of effort but make it really fun for us.

Your dyno sheet is interesting, the pulls on the table don't line up with the chart.
prob means absolutely nothing - I didn't see either start at 3K.

Real curious what's she idle at?

Was it dyno'd wet with accessories?

Just wanted to drop in a quick note to anyone looking to repower their boat. What I have learned the past six months

1) Find the best builder you can afford. Big HP equals Bigger Money. Reliable HP equals Bigger Money Durable HP equals Bigger Money.

2) New verses the Unknown Used 12K verses 24K 12K could get you a really great engine or a new anchor. 24K comes with a builders rep and future business on the line, plus a warranty and piece of mind

3) Give you engine builder your expectations on what you want in an engine, and then let them decide what and how to build it. They are the experts.

4) Performance engines take time like fine wines. Be patient ! Even when your wife is singing the blues by the pool, while all the cool kids at the condo are headed out on the lake, BE PATIENT ! It will be worth it !

5) Expect to change EVERYTHING from the engine back to the prop including adding external steering. Factor all of this in before you decide to go from stock to high performance. Plan on adding another 10K to the project.

And lastly, I would like to HIGHLY recommend my engine builder, Mark @ MER Performance Marine in Little River SC. Great guy to work with and has become a friend as well. Get in line, he is really busy. But worth the wait.

Also, subtract 3 - 4 MPH from the top speed you will see with the Bravo I once you switch to a drive that will live behind said power! Can't wait to see how it performs in the boat!

Really? So the XR and other high performance drives are slower?
