Michael Talbott has taken an interest in the restoration. He spent a lot of time in the Scarabs. Just not on screen.
The day that we spent together at Volo was packed full of behind the scenes stories and recounts of Sunday intracoastal rides up to Shooters.
At the end of the day, he gave me his card with all his personal contact info so we could keep in touch.
He asked if it would be possible to get a ride after the restoration is complete.
In the pic, his exact words were "What a shame. These were beautiful boats. Can you make it right again?"

BIG SIGH OF RELIEF!
We know of a few Vice Edition boats that may be under restoration or rather in NEED of restoration. One was on eBay a few months back "Wild Wild West" I believe the seller was talked into restoring the boat after he checked out our Facebook page.
....AND BEFORE YOU SMART GUYS GET ANY IDEAS.....I ALREADY HAVE FIRST DIBBS on STAR 2 if Wayne ever decides to sell....which I doubt he ever will. However the next "barn find" Vice Scarab will be my next purchase!

UGH i know... that guy was the biggest pain. so many people blew up his phone and email he thought it was worth HUGE money. i hope he actually restores it. but after talking with him it didnt seem like he had ANY drive and desire to mess with it anymore.. i assume itll probably just sit...

My son may have something to say about that.
He's taken an interest into all this history and searching ever since I tracked down the season 5 boat when it was abandoned in North Beach.
Between him and my daughter laying claim on the Mini, I may have to start looking over my shoulder.

I'm alright, just pissed to know end.
Have three different entities to collaborate with to put it back together. Very time consuming.
