Depending on the size of your "boat" and where you launch , I might be cautious of the 2wd. I really prefer 4wd. I don't always need it , but that one time you do makes it all worth while

I'd second what mopower said about 4wd. Especially pulling the boat out of the water, but also misc times. When you need it, it is awesome to have!

Default try to deal a lilltle

Look at trying to deal. i think you have some room to play with. i do not think the milage is bad. i have the same vehicle except for the limit edition. i bought in 2001 paid 26k for it. this vehicle is not in real demand due to the gas milage and the fact that they have announced that they will stop making it in 2004. i have not have any trouble with mine. i pull a 32' fountain with no problems, just might need to mess with the rear suspension a little. expect about 11 to 14 mpg. hell when you compare that to the mpg in a performance boat that great good luck, i think you like the truck and really piss off the tree huggers

Hey Jan, make a sail out of your boat cover and bolt it to the cab! That will solve the milage problem. Can't see the Bear driving a pick up every day...so your real cost is going to be $48,000. $24,000 for the truck; $24,000 for the 96 convertible Vette she wants

Never mind about the pick up. I didn't read clearly. The Excursion is the sport utility that doesn't fit in garages right? Let me know when you get it and I'll bring my chain saw over!

Default Excursion

Jan,

Get a diesel Excursion. I have one and a F-250 Diesel Crew Cab. Lots of truck in this family. The Excursion is awsome. If you want a luxury truck, get the Excursion, If you want a Truck wanna be...get 'burb.
