We'd be wet then. However in August it's flatter than Lake Havawhatever due to the dog days.

I can't help but think a good chunk of the decline in I/O sales are the stupid prices Mercury demands for them. They need a 30-40% price cut across the board. Also glad that Indmar and Ilmor and others are eating Mercs lunch in the wake boat category.

Merc doesn't make one ls based stern drive. Stupid.

If you can't tell I hate monopolies lol.

In 1986 I paid 34K for a 26' Mako cuddy with twin 175 Evinrudes, full electronics for the era on a two axle trailer.

I had one kid in college and another wanted two year later. If you think boat pricing is ridiculous look at college costs.

Don't be surprised if we see the end of a romance between Mercury and GM. Merc has already developed their own set of over head cam heads for the LS platform. Wouldn't shock me a bit if they design their own line of power plant

That will only make the pricing worse.

By the same token also note Ilmor has stopped taking orders for the V10's and Indy Drives.......basically leaving the performance market in Mercury's hands.

They already have....a couple times in the past 10 years. Verado is a clean sheet design, and so is the QC4V

Pretty much all of the current Mercruiser inboard/sterndrive stuff is no longer GM. The new 4.5, 6.2 and 8.2 are all Mercury. All that is left from GM is the 3.0 and the 4.3
