Wakeboard boat manufacturers have to love profit margins. A 350 Mag Towsports with B/W trans is half the cost of same eng w/ Alpha or Bravo pkg. The rest of the driveline ( coupler , shaft log ,shaft , strut , rudder) run about 10% - 15% cost of I/O. Actually pretty reasonable for power.

Millionaires buy new boats we all buy there used boats that's just the way it is and if killary gets in office they wont be buying many new boats and we will have are old boats so I wouldn't be selling any time soon..lol

Fountain and donzi where at the top of the game and as fast as they could make them they were selling new brand new and the slightly above average Joe could afford one... not any more and look where they are now. Our old 27' 89 concord mach1 was bought new in 1990 for around 25k if I remember correctly single 454. If they made a boat simular to that for even 50k there would be a lot more people getting into our sport/lifestyle

I have the sales literature for my 86 242. In 86 with a 260/alpha it was 57k new msrp. In 1986 a new corvette was 27k. A new boat in 86 was 2 corvettes. I think it would probably still be two corvettes today

I will say by the time my 65yr old uncles were my age (32), they each owned several corvettes. Myself and them are both blue collar workers. I have yet to own a vette. They had boats too. Yup this economy is awesome.

Selling prices for 26-28ft boats with a 502MPI / Bravo where 60k-75k in 1996-1998. High side of this was Donzi 28ZX for near $80k.
Baja 33 w/twin 502's was $110-$130 depending on options.
