Many boat manufacturers will tell you that boat shows are money losers nowadays. Too many shows. Too expensive. And it wears the staff out. The consumer is not making a purchase decision at the show like they used to. They make a decision based on a water test and the dealer who can service them. The days of shows producing "sales" are over as the consumer buying habits have changed. For the same investment into a show, and the wear-and-tear on the staff, a dealer can get a much better return, up to 5x, by doing more inbound/pull strategies.
