I dont think Sunsation was taking seriously as a performace boat. they tried with the F4,,also the 36,but I dont think they did that well because the pricing was right there with other well known performance manufactures ,so they tried the center console thing and it seems like it was the right move for them,
hey what ever works right?

Your opinion is certainly an outlook but consider a few things. Sunsation has been in business since 1982 with Wayne and Joe being the same owners today. If you call the phone number tomorrow morning at 7:30 you will talk to one of them if not both. Their F4 was a hit considering the time period when it premiered. They sold 15-18 of them prior to the 2008/09 meltdown. It was based on the 38 Powerplay which sold less than the F4 but is still considered an excellent hull. On the 36 they hired Tres Martin to design the bottom, who better to design a safe twin step bottom? To me the 36 isn't the best looking profile but then again it premiered at the bottom of the economy.

Sunsation has sold more boats in the last 5 years than Donzi, Fountain, Baja COMBINED. Nortech probably did 98% center consoles in the last 5 years, Cigarette has to be 90% CC's so Sunsation just made the call sooner to phase out of the sportboats all together. So they just did the math and pushed the sportboat molds to the side.

That being said........I would rather buy a used 39 NT CC for the same money as a new 32 Sunsation CC. I don't love CC's but I can see the appeal.

I have called Sunsation and have talked to both at different times ,,both good guys but with that been said just because the owner of a company does not pick up the phone when I call it does not make it a bad thing,a good owner/business man will hire the right people to answer the phone for him when he is busy running his business .

I certainly do hope Sunsation in the last 5 years sold more boats than Donzi, Fountain, Baja Pro Line COMBINED,,but that was not because of a product issue but rather a management issue!
we will see what happens now with the new owners and if they can get those brands going again,I for one think it will be a good thing for the industry if they succeed ,but some may feel different.

I shop for the right boat for months. Finally locate what I am looking for.
Work a deal with the seller who agrees on terms and sets up a time next Saturday to make the deal.
I get a text from him this morning with "My wife wants me to keep the boat". WTF. Why did you list it and waste my time.
Bad enough but this now has happened to me twice. Both times boat was listed for sale and I went in for what they were asking.

Take note boys, when it comes to boats, don't listen to your wives!

NWPC have you still got that beautiful Adrenaline? If so, what are you doing with it?

It's just as frustrating having one for sale. I had two guys jerk my chain and one say he was sending a deposit. It's almost easier to moth ball this one in the shop and buy the bigger, faster, stronger one and run it and have a spare.

with less and less late models out there think they will start to hold more value. the only boats made for a while now have ben highend and big. gives a value to boats that fill the gap and other that have been redone. and most redone boats if done right are a huge loss for the person who redid it.

Time will tell, but there are less late models these days because the demand is not there. If there was a demand, somebody would be building them.
