We did that our first year and can not recommend it to anyone. So many people packed like sardines in there that getting a viewing spot outside to hear and see them boat can be hard.

We rented a toon again for this year and enjoy it.

As long as you don't have to leave the No Wake zone. Gets CRAZY when run breaks up. I mean FUN

For those that have not seen it, the Shootout no wake zone on Saturday from 2pm-530pm will be 9 miles long

They do have 2 Celebration boats now, but not sure if that will help.

I could see it helping.

A side from the being packed in the rest was fine. Once you get a spot they are set up nice, beer is fair price, and no worries of driving.

We are using a different boat company this year which we can actually boat a lot of the lake so that will be nice. Last time I used a place right around the corner from the shootout but he didn't want to let the boat go anywhere but the shootout and back. Used Aqua Toys this year and he is just fine with letting us take it to the shootout and was a joy to talk to actually.

Good luck enforcing it. Boats last year were ignoring the extended no wake and taking off before the entrance to 4 corners just as they've done in years past. It will be the wild west once the first few boats break out and run.

"But, I need to bum a ride or a spot to be on the water. So I'm asking for a boat ride for two during the event.........."

GOOD LUCK,,, this will be more difficult than running past TSA at the local airport .

Most owners of performance boats, are very cautious about assuming the liability of taking on any riders for events. Boat owners that fail to think about the liability exposure of taking on guests are being short sided

It may be more predictable, to rent, or just........ bring your own boat

The fact that this concept even permeates people's thoughts shows just how pathetic our society has become. America...land of the free, just as long as you can afford legal councel.

Peter has done that service for many over the years including myself with his boat. Would be nice to see someone return him the favor.
