Someone interviewed him a few years ago and he made a comment that he had to go home and cut the grass. I posted a comment/response to the interview saying something to the fact that surely Fred K has a yard guy and he set my ass straight.

Yup. Their version was called the "torque shift" if I remember right. My father had one on his boat up in the Adirondacks. You could set pitches with different bushings and it would shift twice, for a total of positions.

Hi,

A "simple" version of this has been widely used on wooden boats in Norway with max speed of 6 knots / 7 mph. You can turn the pitch so you can even go reverse.

Interesting consept indeed!

I would like to know what the anticipated cost of these #6 type props are as a regular #6 prop is over $10,000 a set ?

I personally worked on test boat.
These new drives are not for go fast.
​​​​​diesel app with major torque will be the setup best use.

Yeah, that is interesting. Then, in this application you only need a crash box, no reverse.
