Totally changes the trip for me and I normally more fun down there w/o the boat.

Project update:

Finished the mold for the platform portion and got 2 layers of mat and the balsa core in yesterday.
Planned 2 layers of 1708 on the core too but had a near disaster and almost lost the whole thing.
Resin I’ve been using forever takes a ton of catalyst to kick in the cold (65* in shop) and I just switched suppliers 🤨
Old batch ran out mid project, switched to new, same catalyst in a 1/2 gl of resin and it kicked before I even got to the mold.
Rut roh.
Managed to save the platform portion though.

Hope to get the 1708 on today.
Then I’ll pull it from the mold and attach it to the bracket portion and start the real glass portion.

Motor board is 2 layers of 11 ply, 3/4” Okume mahogany w/2 layers of mat sandwiched between.

Having a party in the barn tomorrow or would look like a bracket by Sunday.

Not sure if I posted this already or not but doing a Fla road trip in Jan to retrieve motors.
