Way cool.
Amazing how much fun we have in our smaller, more basic boats.......
Less stress, expense, risk, etc.
Always amazed me when exploring the same bodies of water in slower, shallower draft boats it seems totally different.
OB’s you say 😂
Be careful, they will change you!
Some great pc’s surface for sale at great prices.
I just got an ancient V-8 300hp Evinrude powerhead for a future project.
I can spend a day whittling on that and end up w/a bullet proof, pump gas 400 hp motor.
Add a second one and............
I have a local friend knee deep in a 28’ version of my Convincor project that would be perfect for a pair of those 8’s.
Find audio of a pair of those 8’s at full chat and tell me it doesn’t light you up.
Not big blocks but..........., no valve trains, no u-joints etc.
Jus sayin 😎

Finished the deck from hell, so now back to the original show.
Only been back on the boat for a couple of weeks but I’m making headway on little things.
Finally got my control cables and the adapters for the ends to make it work with my Kiekhaefer controls and my JohnRude motors.
After having The mechanicals of the hydraulic steering apart and back together 1000 times I think I finally have it where it works satisfactorily.
Decided to update the trailer while I had the boat off of it.
The original disk on the front axles were trashed and non-functioning.
Was able to cut the discs but had to replace the calipers that were eaten by salt from its previous home.
While doing that I added a second set of discs to the rear axle.
Also added a second set of bunks as I wasn’t satisfied with the support from the orig set.
Finally found the trim switches to work in the throttles too.
