Another cool step in the process.

Need a water tank to supply my new sink to make my morning coffee 🤓

Was planning to use a 5 gl jug for camping that I have.

After running the boat and seeing/feeling how light the bow feels, and struggling w/the notorious Checkmate hop, w/5 gl tank full, in the bow, I wanted more weight and a larger water supply.

I enlarged the opening into the anchor locker so I could get this new, 15 gl, water bladder in.

The wife’s 253 Checkmate had a 5 gl tank and it was empty before end of weekend.

Should weigh approx 130 lbs, filled.
And can adjust to where the hull is happiest.

Took some time to find what I wanted but this thing is perfect!
And well built.

Mfg in Australia and intended as a water source for campers.
Designed to sit on floor of SUV’s in front of back seat.

Ingenious!

And finished the trim, back splash in the cuddy.

The space under the counter is big enough for the coffee pot and our stove!!

Come on Spring!

Moved the boat forward on the trailer too, and got the tongue weight back where I want it.
Passed my 80 mph tow test.

Thk you sir.
Its really starting to come together.

My RC boat?

It’s a cheap, e-bay piece of crap from China.
$120!
Second one.

Battery died on first one and it floated into the abyss of Lake Erie!

It is a hoot though!

Small enough to throw in the real boat and travel w/and it’s “self righting”.

Any bigger and it’s too big to fit in my tiny ass boat and/or travel with.
And, the bigger ones are not self righting so you need a chase boat and it stops being a toy.

On this one, I cut down the rudder, pulled up the trim tabs, cleaned up the bottom and it now rips!

The new electric RC’s are badd asss!

Default It’s the little things….

Finally got my shore power installed.

I already installed a really good inverter last season and it worked great but only outlet was on it, and it was mounted under the backseat.

Wired in an external outlet for the front of the bench seat and another below in the galley.

The shore power actually runs through the inverter which it then senses and activates a transfer switch to the AC side and activates the outlets.

When you unplug from shore power, with the inverter on, that converts over and runs off of batteries.

Funny that we think how tiny my boat is and how much time you would actually want to stay on it but I am currently halfway through a book I picked up my last trip down to Florida.

Met the author at a flea market in Fort Pierce and bought his book about the 11 years he spent on his 21 foot sailboat sailing up and down from the East Coast of the US to the Caribbean‘s and back, multiple times!

I do not function in the morning w/o coffee, and no one likes me w/o it.

One of the secrets to staying on the boat, as basic as it sounds, being able to brush your teeth when you turn in, a head (porta potti) for overnight, brush your teeth in morning, and coffee.

If we have that, we can do a wk on the boat, no problem.
