Would the Bimini Run be from Sunny Isles like the last effort?

Nice going, Charlie - keep up the good work! We're lucky to have a pro like you around to keep the deep water tradition going.
I forget - where is the ALI Start/Finish again?

Hey, thanks for the kind words, but I am just giving back.

When I first started a lot of people helped me realize, that it was possible to prepare a boat and team that could run one of these open ocean races and win.

We have missed a whole generation that never had the opportunity to do real open water running and navigating etc. So hopefully this kind of racing can get going again.

The Cowes race in England has been going on since the early 60's and is still a great event.

Thank you so much Matt.

We are just trying to give the racers an opportunity to experience what an open ocean run feels like........once that happens...They will be back

[QUOTE=Top Banana;4624203]In 2010 the winning boat took 6 hours and 15 minutes to complete the course in September.

Hurricane Igor hit the North East that weekend. We ran on Saturday and the other "Offshore Racers" in New Jersey canceled on Sunday, because it was too rough.

[/QUOTE
I find it amusing you take every opprortunity to desparage the current race teams while you have had limited, to say the least, success with "real " offshore racing. I wish you the best of luck with your event, sounds like it would be fun.
