The only bad thing I have heard is if you plan on moving up to 38 AVS, get it now. Other than that they sound like a fun boat.

Great Hull.

Lther than that pull drives and check alignment every year. No idea why but the motors in those love to just keep settling.

I never had any issues with alignment, but if not mount related, a possible explanation would be stringer compression, as the 33AVS's have foam filled stringers

ive read somewhere that the 33AVS was Known for
rolling and hooking and that many people died in them is this true?

have you ever seen the speedo/tach over lays Wellceaft sent out that had a mark saying if your going this fast don’t turn. Something about the AVS hull made is unstable in the corners and susceptible to rolling, hooking and spinning out ?

probably just the step bottom. Cigarette had similar overlays on the trim indicators.

2 yr old thread....... Wellcraft actually had a performance boat school/demo day type thing back when these were new. A friend attended and told me someone spun one and dumped the occupants in the water. Nobody hurt except egos. Step bottoms were brand new, nobody understood the turning issue back then.

I just bought an AVS 33, I have never owned a stepped hull boat before, pertaining to the driving of the boat what should I watch out for and what should I not do? Throwing the wife out of the boat and into the water will be a sure way to loose all boat privileges lol.

Fast forward to about 2:10 mark:

Take Tres's class, he will show you specifically how to drive that boat
