Prior to taking the boat out on the water, while the boat is still on the lift, before I drop the boat in the lake I put both props all the way down, or (in) on the buttons, then I run it all day like that, then when I put the boat back in the slip and lift it up out of the water, I hit out on the props and both props come out of the water and tuck up in the boat the props dont hang in the water. I have never adjusted the in and out while boating on the water, do most people do that?

Take a boat driving course especially if you don't understand the concept of trimming the drives.

No you need actual hands on driving classes to feel what the boat is doing.

That is going to fail your bellows faster.

The drive trim is for adjusting the attitude of the boat while running. Bringing the drives up will lift the bow more and let the boat run faster. Also it’s less likely to spin out in turns this way.

sounds like you’re in way over your head

I think his problem was a very aggressive X-dim and confused chop allowing one prop to come out of the water and the other to paddle wheel his ass end sideways.

Haha, the video that will never die. Nothing more can be said about that video that hasn't been said.

This is the best explanation of stepped hulls I've ever read.

Explains how steps work and how to drive a stepped hull. It's obviously 'Reggie endorsed' so I doubt many would question its accuracy.

https://media.fountainpowerboats.com...-27ft-47ft.pdf

If it displays on your device the same as it shows on my iPad, the relevant stuff is from page 51-60. (Pages 47-56 if you have a hard copy of the owner's manual).
