I’ve had 22 people a few timers and it makes the boat heavy but manageable in my Cig. Bury the tabs and try the props as is before spending money on them. They may work fine. |
Look at how much shallower that 38 bottom is compared to the Manta.
I’d check the Miami - Cuba boards for the best advice on that type of load. |

Friend of mine just replaced his Yamis with ETECS on his CC and it’s night and day more powerful. He loves it. The 350 verados are supposed to have some serious mid range I’m sure the marina will have a pair of props to try out. It’s a huge marina complex. For Colombia any way. |

Hey RM, glad to hear you are getting this thing off the ground.
As for your question, when I raced back in the early 90's we ran a 29' Mirage with small blocks and propped for top end. I know its different but we had to work to get it out of the hole and on plane. We switched to the big 380 size tabs and would damn near bury them while leaving the drives more to the neutral range. That seamed to get the stern up without shooting the nose into the air. Also, weight distribution in your boat will be key. Load up a little nose heavy to get on plane and then move people around the first few trips to find the best balance. Thx so much for the tips on tab and drive position. Kind of stuck on the seating but can store a lot of supplies rearward under the deck in two huge fish boxes. Do to going daily won’t have to bring to much in the waynofnsupplies down daily. I have another boat that will Goni to the mainland in the south west direction with 40hp eng to bring beer sodas and a weekly bulk food purchase. |
Put some links up or some information on this operation you've got going on down there.

I want a refund if someone puts me in a 32' with 21-23 other people on board. Would be getting back on the plane, forget getting on plane.
