I would find Cig Bullet and Scarab 31's too big for economy runs and too slow for speed runs with high perf. SBC's. Compliments on your fabulous Bertram 38 Competition and best of luck with your next boat project. Personally, I'm in love with a Nova 24 Sprint that was expertly restored and that imho is the coolest weekend Bahama boat available for sale. She's a bargain for what they've done to her. Basically, a new boat now that would give most 30' race boats a serious run for the money in some bad sea.

P.S. A few links to the specific P-29 boat for sale below and another post about the Nova below. D.S.

She is 10 out 10.

Great project boat for someone up north.
I like everything about it but the Green. Plus no trailer or hatch.

Might want to PM ActiveFun, he had his PP listed earlier this year. Not a project boat though.

I feel almost compelled to stop the rigging on my Panther and donate it to the this project just to see how it would run with that setup.

I run in a 33 powerplay,,,,great wave crusher boats
but not a good candidate for sb motors,,they are thick heavy hulls
we have 572s in this 1 and only runs in the mid 80s'
a 32 sunsation is in the size category that would do well with strong sb s
as were balsa core built with a pad,,,,,so lighter and more modern look
only a few were made with single bb and 1 had 1 with procharger said he hit low 90s
so twin light sb would do good and handle nice in the rough with less ass weight

Agree, sb would not be fun. JROMY's ran 89 with 525's.
