I actually like that part about the boat because it not your normal all white interior. It would probably be cheaper for people to take it to Fineline or the interior update that way its more OEM style.

I am friends with the whole Caravella family and $150K is his bottom line.
I haven't seen the boat in the past couple of years but knows he stores it indoors most if not all year when not using it.
If anyone is interested, I can link you to John.

i financed part of both my cigs (as have most on here). I sleep pretty well at night - there is nothing wrong with borrowing. Frankly, people that are able to afford 3, 4, 500k boats are probably smart enough not to pay cash.
If you sleep better at night paying cash, great, but if I had 150k in cash lying around I'd buy another rental house and use the 1,500/month in rent to easily cover the boat payment......

I hate when people come on here and spout off about how you should only pay cash for toys.

IMHO a long run of easy credit and cheap money has artificially inflated the value of discretionary purchases. Being on the tail end of the "boomer" era I'll just be patient for the moment and wait.

Maybe I look at it completely wrong but I'd rather use the banks money at low interest and keep my cash. If economy tanks, worst case you let the bank have the boat and you still have all your cash.

I ended up paying off a house I no longer owned--but that was long ago. YMMV in other states.
