Divorce advice
Have your attorney put whatever you can in a C corp with you as president, then hide the blank stock certificates.Your attorney will further advise then.
I caught my ex cheating and all she got was a cactus up her butt. |
Having been thru this ordeal some decades ago my advise to you would be as follows,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
If it involves your living breathing child or children, then it is worth every ounce of fight you can muster, for their sake as well as your own, most important is to be fair and make their well being the most important thing you consider. Fock the house, the biz, the car, the truck, the boat, all the rest of the chit!!!!!! Make your children the single most important thing. Believe me, I know where of I speak. |
You have a boat...do you have access to cinder blocks and chain????

Someone I know prepaid their taxes ( business and personal ) by about a million $ and then after the divorce was final amended their return. This was like 40 years ago. I don't know if this would fly today.
In my case I wish that I had just sold everything that was joint property and split it. I also watched her boyfriend move her stuff out of the house I got in the settlement. He showed up with a moving van and what she was supposed to take would fit in the back of a pick up. I came home early from work. Had a bad feeling all morning. My believe is it was GOD that was constantly telling me to " GO HOME" Those two words kept repeating in my head all morning. If she is cheating on you - you are better off without her. My EX is still a loser. |

Sorry to read of your troubles.
While I can't write from first hand experience, plenty of my friends have been through this and a couple of things have stood out. It's not only about you, to be fair, both you and your wife need to be catered for after divorce, as do any children. You are all entitle to continue the lifestyle you're accustomed to. Some people jump in with hate and just want as much as they can get which is not fair and will immediately antagonize the other parties. Think fairly. Avoid lawyers if possible. If you can sort out financial agreements between the two of you, you'll both save a small fortune. If it all falls in a heap and you end up fighting in court, make sure you get a better lawyer than she has. When it's all over, you'll need some time to chill, have a holiday in Thailand. I can help with a few travel ideas that seem to go down well with single guys...:D RR P.S. It's an indisputable fact that 100% of divorces, started with a marriage! |
