I've got family on Drummond island and there have been several tense encounters with propery owners looking to isolate from the populated areas. The nearest hospital is a ferry ride and 2 hours away.

those are really two separate issues. one is how to deal with hot spots and containing them and the other is risk assessment. in antrim county where i spend my summers there are 8 cases and no deaths. this one size fits all "solution" she came up with is killing the whole state because detroit is a mess. luckily i dont think the republican legislature will give her any more time for her to play dictator.

i understand Interceptor not wanting people that might have the virus up there. but this virus isnt disappearing by this summer. are you really ok with the whole summer tourist season gone and almost every business up there gone and with it your job and/or lifes work destroyed? every golf course, resort, restaurant, tourist shop wont be there after this summer if this goes much longer. this doesnt have to be martial law Whitmer style or the Bubonic plague death numbers, i'm sure there is a way limit exposure wisely.

almost 40k people died in auto accidents last year, tomorrows news headline "whitmer lowers speed limit to 10 mph, lives saved"

I believe she's done playing dictator after April 30 and she really needs to lighten up before then. What is wrong with people playing golf? Why can't builders continue their work? Why can't landscapers work? Why did I have to sneak into the paint section at Menard's to get a can of stain? Why can't I drive to my cabin in northern Michigan to check on it? Why can't I operate my boat in the number two boating state? Why am I under house arrest? I want to know what crime I committed!
this is what happens when you let a ****ing democrat into office, they want to rule every part of your life.

Listing a liquor store and pot shops and often convenience stores as "Essential business" isn't a political joke from either party. Straight up the withdraw that would be otherwise incurred would create health issues plus complicate social problems by exponentially increasing domestic assaults and the runoff from that. Kayak single occupant, power boats I am assuming there has been enough issue from those not respecting the social distancing they cut out the privilege..... Donuts shops - beyond me
