there is ZERO effective help to the small business owners. PPP is a joke, borrow money so you can make payroll for the next two months even though you have no idea if there is going to be a customer in your business, and if you lay anyone off again you are just deeper in debt.

meanwhile you still must figure out how to pay your overhead with being forcibly closed. does the state and city plan on collecting property taxes? do you get a refund on business insurance that you have no chance on collecting? of course the govt. will get your cash.

Online petitions do not have any legal binding. Only good to take the pulse of a cause.

She is trashing peoples inalienable rights. Not just the rights protected by the constitution, but the people of Michigan's God given rights.

maybe when there is 400k signing it will at least rattle her. everything she does is a political calculation to advance her career so maybe she will think twice.lol

personally i think she doesnt even have a plan or clue so she just wings it while hoping the problem sorts itself out.

I'm sure she has a plan, and that is to tank/destroy Michigan's economy.

This definitely isn't advancing her career. Its ensuring that she doesn't get reelected.

lets just call this what it is, MARTIAL LAW. you can argue whether its needed or not but when i can be arrested for being outside my home its martial law. the sad thing is the people concerned about this are considered crazy. and the sheep are happy with watching some gay tiger convict and not watching the government slowly morph into an authoritarian regime.

I'm not totally up on the reach of the Michigan stay at home orders, but thought it was Michigan residents can't travel in state from one home to another. If so, I thought Chicago, or any other out of state residents can visit their Michigan vacation home. And there is a lot of NE Illinois residents with Michigan property. Anybody know if she has the authority to order out of state residents to stay out of her state? If the order does not extend to out of state, you can bet as the weather warms, the NE Illinois people with property will be coming your way. IF that is true, how are the residents of Michigan going to react when they can't go to their vacation home, but their vacation home neighbor from Chicago can. It won't be pretty. Luckily mid and southern IL residents tend to favor vacation homes on LOTO. I don't see Missouri ever getting as extreme in this whole thing as Michigan has.

Right now cold weather is helping people comply but when it warms up I WILL go open up my cabin in northern Michigan. I'll just go alone and have some bs story ready if I encounter an overly eager cop. Boating will be harder to pull off if cops are sitting at the launch waiting. Let's hope *****mer listens to the people and lightens up a bit.
