Exactly, the OP would be better off spending money on the bigger boat than HP for the small one.

To reiterate Wildman stated, nobody's gonna want to run with you in that stuff unless they're hard core and if they're not they'll be absolutely miserable. I had one friend that we'd run our PPs in that stuff once in a while, but mostly not. 60 max in tank 33 PP's and only for a while.

Where are you going that you need to run 60 MPH in 3-5's ? I would personally like the 90 MPH boat max speed for the bay use and just run what's comfortable for your boat in the ocean. Some days you just shouldn't go out in the ocean unless you want to be repairing way more than you thought you could break. What kind of boat do you have because that will make even a bigger difference of what it will handle.
