Default Crickets for the Large Outboard Cat over at LOTO?

I’m not trying to poke the bear start anything or defame anyone or brand of boat but I heard and saw photos of a large late model outboard cat of prominent heritage that went over last week on LOTO. I’ve waited a week to read about it here but nothing. This isn’t a what happened thread but why hasn’t it been discussed here thread.

We have discussed about every incident that has ever occurred here in the past good or bad. I believe it serves as a good reminder and lessons are learned by all when we share circumstances and events which lead up to these incidents. Discussion leads to awareness which help protect us from unknowingly purchasing salvage boats and motors. Additionally it provides important insight to possible setups and hull/motor combination with a history of issues which lead to these events. So is it the person or manufacturer or both that has the influence to keep this under the rug here or simply that no one knows or cares to comment? Is this now a taboo subject? Asking for a friend😬

I did not witness the event or have first hand account of the details so I’ll not elaborate. I am certain what I’m stating is not rumor.

If I’m out of line or stepping on sacred toes by bringIng this up please remove my thread. It just seems strange that it is crickets here.

Happy safe boating my boating brothers and sisters.

There are pics of it out on Facebook both upside down in the water and on land on stands still upside down. Happened at night and from looking at boat one would assume a slow speed roll vs. blowing over. Just glad everyone was OK.

so , like OP, not poking the bare. can someone explain How a “slow speed roll over” happens? I’ve never quite grasped the concept of rolling over at a slow speed and physically how it’s possible

The details are a bit murky... Sort of like the grounded Fountain a few months back. General synopsis of what people are discussing: is it may have been over trimmed, look at angle where the one motor is sitting? Owner???? Apparently didn't stick around to give an explanation?

I personally have no first hand info, only what I have read and talk on the street here locally.

Plenty of videos out there of cats rolling in turns. Again, since it happened at night one would think the speed wouldn’t have been as such to think blow over but hard to tell from just a couple of pics. My assumption was it rolled turning whether to avoid something or not. We all know what happens when you ASSume.
