Schaeffer’s oil is highly recommended. I run it in all of my vehicles. Gas/diesel.

I run the Mobil Delvac 1300 for $11/gallon at Wally world. It's semi synthetic. Holds up exceptionally well in over the road turbo diesels. My 2000 F350 uses less of it than it did on Amsoil. Does just as well for a summer of marine use in my 454. Doesn't even change color. Probably because it never gets near as hot as in a turbo application.

SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) deleted any and all definitions of "synthetic" from all specifications relating to oils. API (American Petroleum Institute) never defined what "synthetic

Would be less entertaining to have a thread 'who broke their motor due to a certain oil.'
Would be a No reply thread, most likely.

Had a drag car. Part of winning a race at Englishtown was a case of Royal Purple. Lost motor (bearings to be exact) first race after pouring it in. Ground the crank and new bearings. Back to VR1 and ran it several more years. Freak occurance or the RP?
