Put a piece of tape on the front and sides of the mic. It helps block wind noise and doesn't interfere with you talking into it. You will also find you need to have the mic close to your lips.

I make her put one on as soon as I drop her upfront at the marina. Keeps me from wondering WTF she is after I park. LOL

I got my two SENAs and they seem pretty good. As long as the mic doesn't get too much wind noise they should work good. Looking forward to trying them on the big water. I found a plastic box deep enough to hold four of them if I add two more. I have no intention of running music or phone through them. There is no sweeter music than the 525 EFI makes.

We are really happy with these after using then a half dozen times. Even with the wind deflectors off and wind directly in our faces the noise is negligible. I'm ordering two more and can't wait to use them on a longer cruise!

What ever mic my guy used is very good, very clear.

As far as hearing the engines I can still hear mine , I monitor issue via gauges and warning lights.
Once you "hear" an engine .. it`s too late anyway.
headsets are great, I woudln`t have another boat without em...

Unless you`re getting pounded like a whore on $2 night by Lake Michigan (skipping to 5:20 in the vid ):D

I purchased a pair of the Senna's, I like them but, the mic seemed really far from my mouth (maybe my ears are to far away) and I was getting some wind noise. So when I had to do a repair on my paddle board I figured I'd make wind deflectors out of scraps for the head sets. Works really well except now if you turn your head the wind grabs it and will rip the head set off your head. A little trim and brush on some epoxy, should be good.

Seems like the bluetooth units you can only pair 2 at a time?
That`s a deal breaker

I know that Sampson Racing does a four set package. I can't see why you couldn't pair even more..

The SENA Tufftalk Lite that we use is up to four.

The heavier version may even be more.
