i use skull candy noise canceling over the ear from walmart i really like them we also use googles from amazon with either the blue mirror or red gold mirror or clear we ordered a bunch of different ones they go over the head phones to keep them on at higher speeds its the wind noise that hurts my ears

Im not sure if I will like headsets, so I am experimenting this season. bought a used port. aviation vox intercom off ebay as well as a pair of headsets... in for under 200 to see if I like it. the intercom does have input for music as well.

I'm with phragle. Purchased a bunch of used aviation stuff fairly cheap and I'm gonna wire in a custom system with 6 locations and ability to talk on VHF and pump in sound from the head unit. With 4 headsets (used) wiring and intercom boxes I'm in about $300 so far. Too cold here to start my project. Have been accumulating equipment over winter for a bunch of different projects.

I got these for the new MTI. Wireless, inexpensive, and they work fantastic. You can connect up to four at once and all can talk easily.

If you are running with high wind exposure they may not stay on as well. They fit great but 70+ directly on them might push them back.

About $230-250 ea depending on where you can find them available on the web.

I like these. Clean and simple looking. The perfect headphones would be an extension of the boats stereo so when you take them off at the end of a run the same music you were listening through the headphones is still playing through the boats stereo. Is something like that possible? I’m sure they’d have to be a wired setup?

One of my fears of getting headphones is I’d like them so much I’d have to wear the all the time.

We use Firecom system on our airboat at work. What you want is any headset that has full duplex with bluetooth. That allows you to talk direct to each other and can sync to any bluetooth stereo or your phone. Sonetics has commercial applications and are pricey but they also make a headset that has stereo mics that allow you to hear ambient noises that get cut off at a certain decibel level. I use a set like that made by 3M and are great for cutting off loud noises like gunshots, explosions, etc...

I got my two SENAs and they seem pretty good. As long as the mic doesn't get too much wind noise they should work good. Looking forward to trying them on the big water. I found a plastic box deep enough to hold four of them if I add two more. I have no intention of running music or phone through them. There is no sweeter music than the 525 EFI makes.
