In mid December, I got to go home. After 4 days, I was still very weak and went back in the hospital. After a week, my condition had improved and I was on scheduled to leave the hospital again. On Christmas Eve, I coded again and this time, I had MRSA bacterial pneumonia. I had another. trac and put back on a ventilator.. I was in a medically induced coma. After another 6 weeks on the ventilator, I was getting well again but then I came down with c- dif ". All the antibiotics had killed the good bacteria. I finally got out of the hospital in late February and was sent home on oxygen. After 3 months of physical therapy, I was able to get off oxygen. I did suffer permanent heart and lung damage, but I am still alive and can still enjoy boating, hunting, watching sports. I am limited in what I can do, but I still love living and all that goes with it.

My attitude on the vaccine is different than most of the posters on this thread. Today, I can’t see my friends or do much but stay at home, wear my mask, socially distance, use hand sanitizer, or wash my hands. I hate being a hostage to this virus. My only chance to realistically get out and resume my life is to be vaccinated. I have not seen my patents in 3 months because they are in the high 80’s.

I am no fan of government overreach and I am a strong conservative with some libertarian leanings. I hate the nanny state and certainly don’t want to defend the police.

In my case, I want and need the vaccine. I am not ready to die and I certainly don’t want to pass the virus to my family or friends.
Glad you are still with us! You are quarantining to protect yourself and other family members, hats off to you. You are also what I consider whom this vaccine is for and should be getting it. I personally will not be getting the vaccine, I'm in great health, not in any of the categories for underlying conditions or age group that the virus would harm me. Also I believe I had it at the beginning of the year. I am on the fence of calling it a scamdemic, but there is a lot of political massaging to this virus. The suppression of the basic information to help guard against or help when you get this virus is disgusting. Be healthy and take your vitamins! (Vitamin D3 4x daily recommended, C, Zinc, Melatonin, Famotidine). I have a friend that Covid layed him up for 3 weeks and didn't recover for another 3. Two people at my work were in the hospital for a week and we lost an employee due to Covid last week. They all had minor or major underlying conditions.
All stay safe out there!

Doesn't change my mind at all about the vaccine. If this were 2019, I'd probably have gone to a party, refused handshakes or hugs and stayed away from folks.

Not a big deal at all..
Man I hope you get to feeling better. I had a customer yesterday tell me he and his wife both had it. She was good after about 7 days. He still was weak after 2 months. He said his breathing was so labored he told his wife one night he didn't think he was going to make it. Prayers for you and your family. Eat those vitamins and stay active. Keep us posted....

"Covid Complications"

Thought of you guys and this thread yesterday. One of my aforementioned friends is a family and Emergency Room doctor. She isnt really for the vaccine for the general population but thinks that everybody that is at risk, due to age or preexisting condition, a doctor, nurse and first responder doesnt have a choice. Fair, understood and accepted. But the part you guys will think is interesting is the way she corrected me. It may not be due to Covid but the correct term they were instructed to use is "Covid Complications" At which point Im sure you guys will say the same thing I did. "Ahhh, ok, complications" Uh hummm...

Wow, this thread escalated nicely in 2 days.

Funny me and the wife have these same conversations on the cause of death. I mean if you have a few things and than get COVID, what did you die from? You were living before, but the same could be said if you suddenly got the flu, pneumonia etc. I guess they could list them all, but I really don't think it matters.

If you think this is a world wide scam, you are going to think that, if you are in the camp that it is real and emergency rooms are filling up because of it, you will not change your mind and seek info to back that up.

Its really as simple as that.

As for the shot its like your friend said, right now there is not enough even if you wanted to get it unless you are one of the ones she listed. I'll decide when it gets to me, but at that point there will also be a LOT of people that will have it and may help me with that decision.

Not worried about it at this point.

MY QUESTION.? If its so safe and has no live virus why, why does it need to be stored sub freezing in nitrogen? whats in there that cannot be stored in a regular freezer or in a beer cooler?
