I think the regular flu shot is strain specific.
If you happen to run into different strain....
I heard from a guy today who told me he tested positive for the rona and the trace back led them to his 92 year old mom who has had the sniffles for a week and didn’t tell anyone. lol, reminds me of a previous post about old timer’s “out licking door knobs.
I can relate, my parents are both 82 and won’t sit still.

My wife went through the same stuff at 13 leaving Poland and staying in Austria. I had the "pleasure" of witnessing all the "commie fun" when i was around 9/10 yrs old when i visited some extended family with my parents in Poland.....no food to be found in stores....no luxuries in any stores. We went to Krakow to sight see and stopped in a restaurant for food...all they had was some potato soup which was nothing more that potato flavored water and tea with no sugar. Gas to fuel cars? If you lucky to be there in line when the delivery truck arrived or "knew someone" with a hook up. What most don't understand about socialism is the powerful still do just fine..the rest get screwed under the guise thats its good for everyone! Look at Cuba....and don't even bother mentioning Michael Moore's video about their healthcare....that was so staged it wasn't even funny...the typical hospital there has nothing to help the people. The ones in his video was probably the only one with anything good in it and they probably only treat the high powered politicians! Having dual citizenship helps me see things most don't get to! I once traveled to Cuba under my Polish passport. Really opens your eyes how it REALY is there....

Funny, the only year wife and I got the flu shot was last time we had a bad flu experience too, probably 15 years ago. My Dr isn't a fan of the flu shot. But when I hit 70 this year he is a proponent of the pneumonia shot. You get it 2 years in a row then take 3 years off. I got it last fall, and wife and boys got covid this year I got nothing. Probably means nothing, but just had my annual and took the second year booster. And my wife just had her annual and decided to take the year 1 shot.

I feel special as I fall in the same category. Only had the flue twice in my life over the last 30 plus years and got sicker than chit both times. Honestly haven’t had it since nor get sick. Hang overs yes. Come up with a vaccine for that I’d probably be the first in line however a shot of vodka works just fine.

You just keep watching the news and eating it all up. Just from three posts I guarantee the people around here have more common sense than anyone you associate with.
Whose the pansy that comes on a forum where they’re not known and spouts off like they know so much better? Or more likely a pansy member hiding behind a burner screen name.
