Default Apache 33 is a rare classic.

The Apache 33 that's for sale in the OSO Classifieds is a lot of boat i.m.h.o. Very few hours on almost new blown 509s and bulletproof refreshened Konrad drives. I'd say that the rare 33 is a classic that will continue to appreciate now if cared for. A very original documented boat owned by a well-known knowledgeable owner.
Selling our 1983 33'

I think what we are seeing is what is going on in the housing market and in some what in the equities market.
everyone sees how high their boat, house, stock price is and says 'it is so high, why would I sell? it is only going to be worth more tomorrow so I am gong to hang on to it"
in many ways that is the exact time to sell! it history has taught us nothing else it has shown that there will be a reversal, people wait too long and then do the should a could a song about waiting too long. same thing with selling a business, most peoples around and reap the high returns when things are good, never wanting to sell when their business is worth so much based on its earnings, still the mentality of why sell when it will only be worth more tomorrow, then the earnings crash and they can't give it away, let history teach us......

That would be a perfect boat for me! A bit over my cash budget though. Does any do financing on an old boat like that?

SunTrust does unsecured boat loans up to $100k if your credit is stellar and your loan to debt ratio is OK. Check 'em out.

P.S. Btw I don't know the Apache 33 for sale or its owner except for the basic research I did not to steer You completely wrong. Should be lots of boat for the money and turn keyes. Was talking to Bob Saccenti many years ago about an early Apache 33 center console, 33' x 8', that was available, and he told me that the narrow 33 is one of his favorite hulls to run. He later, mid 80s to 1990 or so, also built the 33' x 9'5". D.S.

Thanks for the info.

I might consider a heloc too as my house is paid for (everything I have is paid for so I'm a bit hesitant to take out a loan now).

^^ I'd much rather have that PP over the Apache.

BF, If the Apache is at the top of your budget, I'd keep looking. Keeping that boat running is going to cost.....

I agree. Operating costs might discourage me from using it as much as I want to. Maybe something a little tamer might be better.
I found this 29 Profile that is local to me. What do you guys think of it? Much cheaper and I'd have a bunch of $ left over for upgrades.
