It’s actually what the gas station your at ‘asks’ for a pre-approval. Remember when gas hit $4 ? Took a bit for stations to change this over $100. Prob was, lots iof people got ‘declined’ since they had less than $100 in their acct and weren’t getting that much gas. Banks and gas stations where getting kicked in the nutz for things that didn’t make sense to people because it was never a real issue before.

And yes, here in OK, gas pump shut off at 95.00, would have held 5 or 6 more gallons.
