Gas prices in the US hit another record high, rising to an average of $4.59 per gallon. A year ago the average price was $3.05 and two years ago the average price was $1.94.
RUSSIA'S PUTIN SAYS WESTERN SANCTIONS AND POSSIBLE EMBARGO ON RUSSIAN OIL HAVE LED TO RISE IN OIL PRICES
They are now forecasting diesel shortages into year end. Clown show.

Funny you mention diesel, a very high volume station locally took the diesel price down. They don't have any to sell.
Everyone can relate to fuel but the other things are shocking. My buddy owns a bagel shop, eggs are up 400%, my neighbor at the warehouse is a plumber, PVC pipe is up 250%. Local sandwich shop raised prices $2, guy is super cool and had his body turned to the grill so "I said $2 ............how do you sleep at night! (like I was outraged)"........he spun around and said he was going to tear into me until he realized it was me and started laughing. He said people are morons and the $2 isn't giving him much profit, it just covers the rise in food costs. He said any idiot can make a sandwich, but he needs to keep the prices level so the volume doesn't drop. Nobody is going to pay $12 for a round roll sandwich and those people would make something at home or start eating a Subway so he needs to watch the pricing to keep the place high volume. This guy has owned delis for 30+ years, never seen price increases hit like this in such a short time frame.

$4.19-4.29 regular, $5.39 diesel street in Boerne (North San Antonio) Texas... Lake was $6.25/gallon for 87 (all we have) and that was 3 weeks ago, headed up this weekend, I am sure it has jumped as well. Put 1/2 tank and spent $704 just after Spring Break to top it off.
It's funny. I am in the car business and when my oil change prices raise and other services because the price of the product increases I am instantly an a$$hole and people demand discounts. I think I am in one of the only businesses where our price is nego. I wish I could go to the grocery store or Amazon and order something but then argue to pay less for it and hold a survey over your head too.

And here’s the 100 reasons why I can’t pay you. I think we here more horrible things then psychologists do.
If we can’t fix it for nothing , or under $100-$200 their life is ruined. They are the victim. Everyone is a victim now. If i got a dollar for every ‘you don’t understand’ i’d be a billionaire.
It’s your fault and issue that their car/truck broke. Even if you’ve never met them. Lol.
Rare to have anyone say thank you anymore too.
Has always been a tough business, but past 10-15 yrs has been brutal.
Rant over.
