The recent election of Youngkin had far more to do with the hard Left turn the state has taken in recent years due to this Soros effect, most specifically over the state's approach to public schools in regards to Covid, gender confusion and CRT, than it had to do with anything related to Trump. Trump isn't near the poison seed you seem to think he is. For every NeverTrumper you can point to, we can point to just as many who faithfully voted for Biden and have since switched party affiliation. And a large portion of those who held their nose and voted for Biden instead have seen first hand why it was such a bad idea. The majority of the "lightning rod" effect you refer to is due mostly to the strobe effect efforts the MSM and DNC are implementing, which I think is waning significantly. As I said, those who voted against Trump have now had a taste of why doing so is a bad idea. As has been said, if it comes down to Trump and Biden or Harris (you KNOW it's a significant possibility), and conservatives vote against Trump, just to satisfy some self-appointed moral high ground image of themselves, they deserve anything and everything that falls out from it. It's just dumb.

I will also ask, since when is wanting the vote count to be valid "trying to have the election over turned"? We saw four straight years of the exact same thing Trump and his loyals doing now while he was in office.
I thought I was getting out of this thread.... :fear:

Thanks. Brad.

We want to arrive at the same destination. Only disagree on what is a suitable horse to get us there.

And I agree that there is nothing wrong with asking for the votes to be counted again. But once they've have done that and you still come up short, and you've exhausted all of your appeals in the courts - IMO you are done. Tiime to move on. Not just my opinion - that is pretty much how our system works - or is supposed to. Trump tried to find a way around that. Jan 6th. And apparently he is still trying to find a way around that. To me that's kind of unhinged. Might even be illegal.

Another concern is that even if Trump were to run in 2024, what quality person is going to step up to be his VP? After what he did to Pence? Would a Desantis or a Nikki Haley? I doubt it. I'd be shocked if anyone but a fringe candidate would agree to be on a Trump ticket after Jan 6h.

Anyways, I have a good feel for what I was asking. Many people still like Trump. But if someone of the quality of a Desantis is willing to take him on in the primary's, and it's obvious at that time that they have a better shot at winning in the general, it seems a good amount of Republicans will go with the candidate who has the better shot at winning in the general. And perhaps we an avoid the train wreck that was the 2020 elections.

Peace.

Ditto.

FYI, Trump fired his 2016 winning campaign manager in the spring of 2020 over disagreeing on how DJT should respond to Covid. Per Trump's 2016 campaign manager, Trump's legal team dropped the ball in the summer of 2020 for not filing suits with proper standing on the legality of the non-legislative-approved mail-in-ballots. Trump's team needed to file those lawsuits way prior to the election to allow the courts time to force the states to either get proper Legislative approval or deny the changes because the states failed to get that approval.

As he tells it, the new Trump team didn't have the many proper legal teams in place necessary to make those legal challenges because they were just not well organized. As Bill Barr also stated, over time Trump tends to eliminate competent people from his circle (like his 2016 Winning Campaign manager) who disagreed with him, and he ultimately winds up with less-competent Yes-men who tell him only what he wants to hear.

Post election, the only remedy available to the courts to satisfy Trump's lawsuits was to to disenfranchise literally millions of voters who had simply followed their states' voting instructions when casting mail in ballots. Albeit the states had not gotten proper legislative approval for the mail in ballots, the courts decided the bigger wrong would be to not allow the votes. Per Trump's former campaign manager, this was not a conspiracy by the courts, just bad legal strategy by team Trump for not properly challenging them in the summer of 2020- or rather a disorganized and non-existent legal team that is so necessary to to quickly respond to challenges when they appear.

As for those saying Pence had the right to not certify the election, I have yet to see a single legal opinion that confirms that notion. If it were legal, literally every sitting VP who's President loses an election could do the same. That would put us on par with the likes of Ecuador - with all due apologies to Ecuador. I disagree with your assessment of Pence.

I'll say it again.... I don't care about Trump. I liked him. I still like him. That's not the point. My concern is that capitulating to the Left's garbage narrative is only going to give them bravado to do to our decided candidate what they did to Trump. You're carrying water for the Jan6th myth. You're carrying water about the recount (counting the same fraudulent votes isn't correcting the problem. Shredding them does).

We've already seen them doing this same thing to DiSantis. We've seen them doing it to literally anybody who attempts to counter their lies. They are going to keep doing it as long as people like you keep telling them it works. Stop it.

Thanks. Brad.
