Democrats to go after "Big Oil" in gas price legislation -lawmakersReuters10:14 AM Eastern Daylight Time Apr 28, 2022WASHINGTON, April 28 (Reuters) - Democrats in Congress said on Thursday they will propose legislation that allows federal and state agencies to "go after" oil companies on wholesale and retail sales practices, lambasting the industry over price gouging and profiteering. SCHUMER SAYS U.S. NEEDS TOUGH LEGISLATION OVERSIGHT OF BIG OIL ON PRICES

Democrats.
Campaign on shutting down the fossil fuel industry. Deny drilling leases on Fed lands. Deny new offshore drilling leases. Basically cut in half the number of drilling leases from when Biden took office. Slow walk or outright deny PERMITS to drill on lands where oil companies do have leases. Promote ESG policy B.S that discourages investment in energy companies and carbon energy infrastructure projects that are needed to do new drilling to keep up with the world's growing energy needs. Appoint a zealot to the SEC that raises administrative costs at every public company demanding they spend money to spell out any possible exposure they have to Climate change liability lawsuits because of their use of carbon fuels - all designed to further discourage any investment in or use of fossil fuels. Basically do everything possible to try to kill your carbon energy sector.

Then for good measure piss off your longtime alley Saudi Arabia who will then refuse to take up the slack in oil supply that you caused by restricting your own domestic production. Show military weakness by getting hamulated in Afghanistan that encourages a top 3 energy producer o invade their neighbor - then Embargo the oil and gas from that invader further restricting energy supply.
Then after all of that have your goons in Congress blame high energy prices on the greed of big oil and threaten to go after them via legislation, which will.................further discourage investment in the oil and gas sector. You cannot make this **** up.

Hopefully, sound minds will be in office after the midterms, and if the resident potato continues on with this idiocy, we have a very good chance of having a sound administration in the Oval Office. Again, hopefully. Maybe then things can be undone.

It is good to see that more and more are beginning to be red-pilled and waking up to recognize the actual cluster **** that our country (and the world) has become. Maybe we’ll be able to turn it around.
