Gas prices $$
#912
It's hitting people hard. The problem is the people don't have a choice but to drive. That's how the provide for there families. Many are growing deep into financial debt with credit cards. This will only make it worse in the end for them. But I'm sure Biden will forgive there debt if they ask for help so they can have a fair life.
I know on my Avalanche its sweet spot is 72mph...if i can maintain that it will get between 19-21mpg anything above that and i can watch the needle going down
Im not complaining about going fast...dont get me wrong...i just find it kinda funny that people are hauling a## and wasting gas around here and then complaining about the prices

Will never happen. And that's why the system is broken and will never be fixed. As long as those who have no skin in the game are able to continue to reap the benefits of others' labor, and vote for more of the same, things will continue to get worse until the collapse of the nation.
Don’t under estimate the Stupidity of todays American voters.

Well not hard enough for people around here to slow down.....you cant tell me that cars are "efficiently" driving at 80mph...either everyone is late going to work or they dont care.

I75 around Sarasota/Bradenton is fairly light this time of year. Off peak hours and at 90-95 mph you have about 10% of the traffic passing you. Monday night around 10:30 I was rolling south in my kid’s mustang about 95 and heard the unmistakable sound of a downshifting PDK as a GT3 swung around into open lane to my right and lit it up. I don’t know how it is on the east coast but over here FHP works this stretch in groups of 4 or 5 and kicks a$$ for a couple days and then their gone for several weeks. Hardly ever see a solo trooper.

Paul Volcker raised interest rates to 19% while the Reagan administration worked the supply side by loosening up regulation during the ensuing recession. The current administration says you can spend/regulate your way out. Guess Volcker had no idea it could be so easy.

This is not purely scientific as I cannot drive the entire route at speed, and the gas price varied slightly over that month, but here goes... When gas prices were at the high point a few months back, I wondered if I could save some money slowing down.
at 85 to 90mph my commute took 32min each way and my fuel bill was 140.00 per week. At 70-75 my commute took 41min each way, and my fuel bill was 125.00 per week. So based on a 20 day work month it cost me 60.00dollars to reclaim 6 hrs of my life back in a month. I can make more money, I cant get back time lost.
Anecdotally, I was going to use that "savings" to help with boat fuel. That was before I actually learned how long 60.00 worth of fuel lasts in a twin engined 9000lbs boat lol!
