This is what happens when you stifle production but keep dumping the helicopter $$.
Couple that with the current “ideology before economics” mentality, who knows where it’s going.
However, at least for now, we’re still the cleanest dirty shirt in the drawer.

Paid $57 for a sheet of 3/4 plywood last week. Treated 5/4 deck boards are now so expensive that Trex or similar is not much more expensive.

Just put up this shop at some property out in the sticks.
Steel was quoted 10k less than lumber/pole barn.
I think steel is way up now also.

Saw an ad from Home Depot the other day for 96.00 for a sheet of 3/4 plywood. 8.00 for a damm 2x4. Wtf.... I was looking at a 32 skater like 3 years ago with big power etc. Asking price was 89,000. Once the money is gone or reset we’ll see how it all pans out. 🤔

The more you make the more they take.
absolutely correct on that one!

Here in the Seattle area the state legislature is trying to pass a doubling of the annual registration taxes on boats. What a nice gesture that is to those of us that hung in there through Covid-19. We need concrete shoes for these progressive left wing liberals.

Kansas has just within the last few years repealed the extremely oppressive taxes that were in place for boats, RVs, etc. Wasn't unusual to pay $1000 per year on a 10 year old boat or camper. And they wondered why so many people in Kansas had purchased a p.o. box in Oklahoma and registered their vehicles out of that state.
Kansas' response? Created a "turn in your neighbor for a reward" program if you saw they had an Oklahoma tag on their car....!

I had a 30' Scarab CC when my kids were little, one of the best boat layouts at the time. Loved it ! If Ihad a 32' Fountain CC now, I wouldn't think of selling, not even for a Skater...4 grandkids later. {24' Monza w/Bulldog 468 }
