I don't understand the whole Jim Darr thing and the weird posts he puts up every once in a while. I don't get the rational of doing this. He posts some random semi weird question that gets everyone talking (kind've like this one) but what the end game? To see people argue on here because he know it will happen, like it did on this thread? I just don't get the purpose.
This also reminds me of the guy that came on here about a year ago asking about buying a 50 Cigarette or an SL52 Outerlimits. questions were a little darr esque....Turned out the guy was legit and bought both (confirmed). LOL You just never know.

Even said it twice because he means it; "I can obviously afford what ever boat I want, and I mean what ever boats I want"

If it is BS and Darr you never will because you don't have a mental defect.

And the answer to the OP's question is this. Locate and buy this.
Your budget and starting on small lakes. Right up your alley. Not just 2, psssshhhh, FOUR turbines son.
"Tres Martian" [sic] doesn't even have a class yet dedicated to this boat it's so bad ass.

I do want a Catamaran, but is 44ft to Big for first? I can obviously afford what ever boat I want, and I mean what ever boats I want. So, 30-50foot. Learning small calm lakes first, before Detroit river and Michigan lakes. 4-5 people at a maximum ride along. Some year, poker runs to! Looking at DCB, Skater, Mti etc, thank you for your help.

One can only hope the o.p. is legit and simply doesn't understand how his post came across. It is SO over the top that it screams 'TROLL" but as others have said, you never know. In my line of work I deal with a lot of extremely wealthy individuals (think owners of Gulfstream G500/G600 jets) who just don't "get it" when they tend to rub people the wrong way...a lifetime of wealth and influence and insulation from the real world can do this to a person. Personally, I call troll, someone who went a did a search on 'impressive keywords to use on a boating forum' and tried to run with it. But if not, one hopes he comes back, gets off his high-horse, and behaves in a manner that will do more to endear himself.

I'm picturing Austin Powers trying to turn the golf cart around. Big boat small lake.

Phenomenon was in Slidell, AL last I saw. Had four turbines reduced to two. So with just two measly 2000hp turbines and weighing a gajillion pounds it might go a little over 100? That and it was made to hit a wall at 250mph I’d say it’d be a great boat for our OP.
