Start small my 02 a few years seat time small go fast under 70mph learn the water
Then go big as you want 35' 80-90 mph v hull or cat hull? But then try to buy a training course for both good luck

I’ve changed my mind about ‘BamBam2022’.

funny how that works isnt it, yet all the people wanted to blame my friends and i for big scotty debacle, read the thread i said the same thing you just did? one thing i did learn was how valuable my time is, now i dont give it away freely... but back to this guy, he can afford what he wants, he should buy a better resource collection ctr.

I'm sure that everyone has a different opinion, but I would say yes that is to big to start, for one you are going to have to have tilt trailer and all its issues on top of everything else.
Take Tres class first and then work with him about riding in different size boats so you can find what you are comfortable with. everyone is going to be different.
hell I went from a 20' jet boat to a Cigarette and that was a huge jump but his class was priceless

I don't understand the whole Jim Darr thing and the weird posts he puts up every once in a while. I don't get the rational of doing this. He posts some random semi weird question that gets everyone talking (kind've like this one) but what the end game? To see people argue on here because he know it will happen, like it did on this thread? I just don't get the purpose.
This also reminds me of the guy that came on here about a year ago asking about buying a 50 Cigarette or an SL52 Outerlimits. questions were a little darr esque....Turned out the guy was legit and bought both (confirmed). LOL You just never know.
