Had a local iron worker between jobs a while back.
Tubing was free from local well driller (damaged threads).
All cheap until time for the electric hoist trolly.

If Harbor Freight made theirs a foot wider they would sell a ton of them. You could buy an I-Beam from a structural steel reclamation shop pretty cheap to make the HF unit wider.

The electric hoist is nice but it robs way too much lift height.

I used this one from Jegs, 555-81245. It has 6 bolt holes for the beam. I set mine to use 4 holes. It expanded enough to pull the motors out of a Formula 382 SR1.

Yes I know. I priced a 10ft x 6" I-beam today .. They want $200.. Then I ran into a customer of mine who happened to have a few forklifts.. He said i can use one.. Now I have to figure out how long the legs should be for the reach?
