Tow exclusively. Usually takes an hour and 10 minutes one way to the boat ramp we favor. That said, have towed all over Florida.

Have done both.
Multiple times.

Currently an hr 45 to where we boat.

We had a cruiser at a class A marina w/a drive up dock, picnic table, grill etc, right in front of it.

Very nice.
Let’s you commute in a 40 mph car instead of a 9 mpg tow pigg.

Private bar/restaurant, shower etc.

My problem was I couldn’t adapt to staying at dock.
Wind was blowing, lake too rough etc.

W/trailering, you go where you want, if you want.

If the weathers bad you stay home.

If your paying for a dock, you go anyhow.

I trailered for 20+ years until a few years ago when we got our condo at LOTO.

I had a marina 10 mins from my house and my boat fits in my garage. I had wet slips for years, but rarely left the boats in the water due to how nasty the bottom got in t he river. Then I just got a dry dock spot to us the private ramp and a spot to leave the boat at the marina if I wanted to. I usually just wiped it down and towed it home and put it in the garage. It was easier than covering it. The marina was destroyed in 2011 floods and never rebuilt and the public ramp was closed. The other public ramp was 40 mins away and a pain the azz. I started making even more trips to LOTO and left the boat there a few times between trips. It was actually easier to just to tow it home dirty and clean it at home than to mess with storing it for a few weeks.

3 years ago, we got our condo at LOTO and so glad we pulled the trigger then. The boat is on its lift in the slip from May- late Oct. We trailer it home for winter storage.

So the question is what is the most cost effective place to keep your boat. This is a balance of convenience/time/usability etc. In my location property values are climbing $1,000 PER DAY causing outside problems from taxation, etc. One idea is to sell the property but keep an easement for my boat lift. My football playing neighbor just put his place on the market for $33 million and moved to Colorado.

Yep! Sure did. Guy I bought it from was one owner after the one who painted it (Jay) who I assume you know. It's an amazing bit of paint work.

Jay and his wife are good friends of ours actually had lunch with them yesterday down in Cumberland. The boat turned out amazing . Looks like it’s in a good home.

$33 million for the reddish house?? Same house on LOTO is 5-10% of that.
