Default Cigarette - The American Offshore Laughingstock

Let me just start this by saying I LOVE(D) Cigarette! Everything about it. Eat, sleep, Cigarette. Just love(d) the brand. yada yada (its true).

Now that that's out of the way...Cigarette is DEAD. Literally the embarrassment of offshore. A master class in completely dismantling a legendary brand in a year. This will be an HBS case one day!

How do we top a DW cat with a Cigarette sticker slapped on it? (#QUALITY)....oh, well we just take a PWC from another manufacturer, dismantle it, slap cigarette stickers on it, put tape over the HIN - and pass it off as our own! We'll even claim that we can't show the whole jet ski because its not coast guard certified! We'll go even further and have our CEO claim that we engineered it in house! (ps. since when does cigarette engineer water pumps?). If they continue pulling these stunts so publicly - what else are they doing that we don't even see?

$2 million dollar boats held together with zip ties. Boats that don't pass sea trials. #QUALITY! Not to mention the #merch and #apparel - built to the same quality and standards as their boats (translation: likely to disintegrate during shipping). Cigarette is a joke.

Cigarette right now is more entertaining than any reality show on TV. Like reality stars, they think they're god's gift to society, when in fact they're a complete joke. And its working! It's a train wreck and I can't look away. I can't. Stop. Watching!

So who's joining the Cigarette Racing Club?

When I first arrived at the Cigarette display and walked up to the 515 the cabin door was closed, I asked if I could look further and was told that this boat was just barely finished up for the show. I also mentioned to my wife that the finish was not what I expected from Cigarette. Unfortunately you don’t know what to believe, but I would think if you are asking 2.3 mil for this boat, you would have put your best product out there.

I snapped this screen shot last week on Facebook before they deleted it, I don't think their social media manager knows the brand very well!

When you're a millenial, 87 is the same thing as the 70s, right?

That's hysterical. I saw one on FB or IG a while back where they posted a random picture of a "Cigarette" but it was actually another manufacturer. Wish I could remember where I saw it posted.

I guess that's true. Time flies when you don't know what gender you are.
