I've lost count since my after hurricane buying spree which I acquired a Great Harbor 37 trawler that I bought to repair and sell but after using and staying on it this summer I am looking at keeping it . 2 Brand-new factory Yanmar diesel packages with literally less than an hour run time and a 100 thousand of other new upgrades make it irreplaceable and a turn key world cruiser once i address the light fiberglass damage .
I am currently docking it in front of a house in cape coral until I can get it hauled in november but after this hurricane I will not leave this boat in a hurricane zone during the summer so after I get out of the yard I'm bringing it up the Tenn-Tom to northern Mississippi to Bay Springs Lake .
Before the trawler I bought a lightly damaged Islander Freeport 36 sailboat for my retirement get away but the trawler is slipping into that spot, but I love sailing and is far more exciting even though the trawler has 4 times the living space and practically. I really want to keep it because it has a brand new diesel package and sails and though its 40 years old it looks like its 5 years old being it was shipped down to Florida from Colorado recently . Also a rare desirable bird that I don't have a whole lot of money into .
I bought a lift kept lightly damaged Hunter 26 trailer sailor up for auction because it was below cheap and I had a empty 12000 lb aluminum trailer and I wanted to camp and sail America and it cost me nothing to store,
I also have a Mc 16 fast sailboat down here along with my Livingston catamaran skiff .
Up north in Michigan I have my 19' Baron/ Powerplay that needs a resto at this point and another sailboat my Prindle 16 catamaran I know I have Blow boats on the brain but their entertaining compared to slow non performance powerboats .
So a second boat is not unreasonable, lol.
But I grew up in the 80s with my dad having a small Armada at the end of the Tdock at the MCBYC in Michigan with us living on our 48' S&S sailboat along with our 26 Monza and 19 Baron along with numerous small sailboats and dinghies.

YES!!!
Its stress free boating.
When I take the cig out theres a list of things to do that usually takes half a day and after the weekend more things to take care of .
With the jet boat I take off the cover clean the interior hook up to truck and go. I hardly ever open the hatch. End of the day I put teh cover on till next time.
$600 in for a weekend vs $120 in the jet boat.
Easier to tow.
More comfortable and more room .
Wife can drive it while I relax.
Anxiety that something will go wrong is 0
Push the throttles to the dash and she hums along at 7800rpm 50mph for days .
I didn`t want anything with an outdrive hence the jet .
I can pull up with feet of the beach in 2' of water .
No outdrive to hit anything .
Don`t have to worry about shallow spots .
Tons and tons of storage.
Sweet swim platform
table ...etc etc
Depending on the big boat for our boating was always stressful on me to get it going in time and when it broke Im sitting at home .. Summer is too short for that .

got my 45 and use this one mainly... then a 20 open bow bayliner with a tower for skiing and tubing for the kids locally, and... a 16 open bow stingray so the kids can learn and dock by themself easily grabing the dock if needed by one hand and it stops !
and a chriscat project and a mini 13 project too...
don't ask why but each time Vin Latona post a project for sale like is chris cat or his 36 apache... i have voices in my head telling me to buy them also... !!!

CIG and 16’ OB Donzi.
I love having the little boat - it’s so easy to just drop in and go. Take it to breakfast early morning most weekends and it’s just so fun to put around in. easy sunset cruise boat with the radio on…..

Stopped by my in-laws and snapped this one….
use the jet ski for tubing and stuff….

Not yet, but plan to add a cheap pontoon with painted toons that I can leave in the water. Only have room for 1 hoist and would love something that I can just hop in and go if we want to have a nice quiet evening cruise

I don't do drugs, don't chase women, and don't drink much at all, but I do like boats. A year ago, I had a Formula 370SS, Glacier Bay 26 Center Console, 18' Glasstream flats boat, an aluminum Crestliner fishing boat, a 20' Cigarette, and a 28 Skater (and 2 waverunners to boot!). I have since sold the Glacier Bay and the Glasstream as we sold our Florida place. I don't feel bad at all about having several boats as they all fit a purpose. Rarely do you find anything that is good for everything!

I live on a chain of lakes ( the Whitefish Chain ) in Crosslake, MN, so owning more than one is a bit easier since they sit on boat lifts …
1) Skater 28
2) Chris Craft - 1939 Barrelback 19ft.
3) Boston Whaler 13 ( new addition - my girlfriend just bought it )
They’re all great - we’re probably having the most fun with morning runs in the Whaler - hose it off and go - keep the gas tank full ( 5 or 6 gallons - lol )
