Going from the starting box had NOTHING to do w cooling. The engines will run at idle for a long long time and under power for 30 secondsish. Plenty of time for the 40 mph roll. Its not what the owner wanted to do at this moment in time. Yes their is plenty to sort out, but trust me it has the potential to hit the current record mark.

Add in American Ethanol, Dirty Duck, and hopefully the Crocket Rocket next years Shootout will be epic! Reserve your rooms now!
I am surprised that there is room in the cockpit for the size balls these two must have!

Standing start, and with the previous days transmission woes, they posted they started and ran the course in 2nd gear only. Thanks to Flat Rate for the post, was able to catch them on instagram with only 100 followers (over 1k in two days). Love the secret-squirrel attempt and their constant updates over the weekend. Very fun to follow along, they have an admiral goal and I can’t wait to see how they progress.
I also agree with DRAG; though they posted their intent to take the record with the boat, I think the bench-racers inserted a lot of the hype/rumors.

The shootout is quickly going becoming a "spend to win" deal. Very cool to watch and participate in as long as we don't start to lose guys in the 3/4 distance. Speeds are already above what was anticipated when they shortened the course. We will see outboard cats in the 140s next year.

I would love to no details on all of the setups. A nice 33 power play ran 90+. Sounded great

I thought AEM or similar already made new ECMs but I’ve never seen them discussed. Cool idea and shouldn’t be too hard to accomplish with everything out there already.
