Now this boat is worth watching. This price is posted. Its fair. It's in my range and now I know with a little negotiation, it's a real possibility. This seller isn't out of line or out of touch with reality. This is how you get a deal done. I've "called" on similar boats at $1M plus. Waste of everyone's time. Post the Fn' price if you want to sell something.

True, but it takes 2 seconds of a sellers time to post the price. Then it saves the seller's and prospective buyer's time on the phone with people who simply want to know an asking price.
I have NEVER in my life called on any ad that says call for price.

Evidently, there are some power boaters out there who are both very lonely and have lots of time on their hand, and are hoping that the phone will ring with someone who wants to talk to them about the price of their boat.

Griff,

I think, most of the time, the seller that doesn't post the price wants the liberty to start running the price up if there is a bunch of interest. I've actually seen this. I called on a car that was "call for price", was told a price, went on vacation, called when I got back, and the price had gone up significantly. They said they'd gotten a lot of calls. I told him I thought it was kinda sh!tty to conduct an auction without the buyers knowing they were participating in an auction. If they post the price, then realize they underpriced it because there's a bunch of interest, they are stuck with the price (or should be). On the flip side, if they post a price that is too high, hoping to build in some juice for negotiation, they may stall interest from the get go.

I do agree, though. Super annoying when a price is not posted. When we were in the hunt for a new boat, I never once called about a price if it wasn't listed, due to my experience with that car.

Thanks. Brad.

Again, that's fine, i bought the whipple for my 20 cig off a no price ad. and there are times that I haven't. on the Whipple his price was more than fair, and he even said he just didn't want to have to listen to the "experts" make comments about would have, should have an could have. I got a great deal from a great seller with many extras. if its an item you want/need or like, not having a listed price shouldn't deter anyone.

Pretty much nailed it, that way they can see if they have a sucker on the line. I sort of get that one, not that I agree with it.

Can not stand NO pictures or a couple ****ty ones. I checked on something I may have been interested in, when the picture came in they were a year old and what a hot mess. Had it been in the original add, would not have waisted time.

At least I didn't spend a bunch of time.

Wildman,

Yup. Or... My favorite... A HP boat, and no pics of the powertrain. Obviously a listing written by someone who has no clue what they are selling or who they are selling to.

Thanks. Brad.
