Default Boat Price in Classifieds

Want to sell a boat - post the price. It's 2025. No one wants to "call for price" FFS.

That always bothered me too. With anything for sale. I don’t get the draw to not list the price. Like you want people calling asking how much all the time? Just to find out it’s too much? That’d be annoying. Agreed. Post the price.

If it’s not listed, it’s too high.

The hull truth requires prices listed.

The other thing I see on FB is PM/DM for pictures and details.

Why would someone want to keep repeating what could be solved by posting it in the ad?

Alot of the time in aviation we put aircraft for sale with no listed price for a couple reasons.

The first being that if the listing broker and buyer's broker both need to make a commission, they can factor that into the deal when they go back and tell the buyer how much the airplane is. Another reason is if the buyer has a trade, you can then make the numbers look better to the buyer when there is no published asking price.

Also, a lot of deals are what they call back-to-back, meaning somebody has an end user for the airplane, knows they can get a really good deal on a certain airplane, so instead of making their typical commission, they buy the airplane and flip it to their buyer.

All of these scenarios are reasons for an asking price not to be published.

I think a lot of those are scammers, they dont want anyone to see the the pics they ripped off from another ad. I wouldn't buy anything from FB unless I new the seller

I agree a little annoying, but the serious buyers should know about how much it costs or get reasonably close.

if you're serious about the product then call and get in touch... it doesn't matter to me what they say or do... I'm just sick of all the FB appraisers, or OSO appraisers that run their collective mouths... if you aren't going to buy it, then STFU and move on....
