We're looking forward to it. Yes, we will be doing the lunch run (missed it due to a late departure last year.)
We plan to go Wed night thru Sunday. Harbor Springs and Bay Harbor are two highlights of our boating Thursday & Friday. Also, there was a pretty good hang out / raft up on our way back from the run. Not sure of the locals name for the bay, somewhat NorthWest of Summerset Marina where we were docked.
Horton Bay? (Maybe, raft up Sat afternoon)

I ran it with my dad in 2004-2007 back when they did the big loop (Northport to Beaver Island) and had a blast!
The last 3 years we launch out of Harbor Springs about 9:30 and run down to the mouth of the channel to watch them all come out and turn south. We have great time running with them up to Bay Harbor & Harbor Springs, then end our day at the Petoskey State Park… crystal clear water & sandy bottom. Although, last year it was nearly impossible to anchor at the mouth because it was so wavy.
This year we’re going to do the Thursday Fun Run and Saturday possibly run into Round Lake & raft up… so it’s not so wavy.

Did the run two years in a row, it's a fun run. My family and myself are over doing poker runs and rather watch or hang out with friends. It may have turned out to be a "Big Dicks" run but all the money goes to kids.......Win Win for KIDs

Check with Sommerset Pointe Yacht Club for Dock, (2131-582-9900) they have a ramp. It does get the over flow from Poker run. You can book a room at Boyne Mt (231-221-0216). and they have parking for boats & trailers. Where many in run stay.

Sounds like they need to come up with an entry fee for people who want to participate in everything other then needing a slip at the showdock. Its a great cause, great location, and fun group of like minded people. Growing up in West Michigan, I have seen water conditions that make this run become a challenge to put it mildly. Your card hand will most likely have better odds then the water being flat.

I was going to bring my CC just to run around for the weekend, no place to tie it up.... Doug is bringing his OL and is registered for the run.
