The Kid Escalated the conversation from the start

And I’m sorry but if I had a son that had the intellect of this Kid with his Bro Bro Bro I would welcome some other guy putting him in his Spot.
Tommy,

Despite us agreeing on most everything, I have to say I couldn't disagree more. The kid was dead neutral, of not polite at the start. The azzhat charter captain was obviously looking for a fight, and wasn't about to let a little thing like being wrong keep him from it. The kid rightfully stood his position and the azzhat charter captain didn't like it, so it escalated from there. The end.

Thanks. Brad.

Brad,

No there are no ordinance down here about slowing down when going through a bridge.

But, its stupid not to go through the marketed channel at dark, (You can see the marked one is to port of the kid at the start of the video).

Also yes for whatever reason fisherman will sit under those bridges at night with all lights out, pretty dumb but they do it for some reason. Does seem that he said his was on.

A friend of mine has seen one of the guys from the other boat post a video, he said he didn't know the guy he was just hired to film him catching some fish,,,,, which they did not. He did say he should have stepped in but was shocked what was going on.

Are you serious? You thought the kid was in the wrong and escalated it? That`s fuc ked up Tommy, I didn`t know he`s the one who kept yelling losing his **** and then drove up and boarded another mans vessel screaming at a kid who is probably 150lbs wet and 22 years old. Bullying him the entire time. So the kid is the problem because he says "bro" too much.. you serious??! Were you a bully back in the day, are you still one now? A grown man assaulting and scaring the crap out of a kid and if you were his dad you`d be fine with it? That`s messed up.
Maybe you can join his defense team because you and his lawyer are the only ones I know of on the a$sholes side.
If that was my kid I would lose my $hit.

My daughter is 21, my son is 18 , they`re kids.

The "adult" just wanted to be a tough guy and kept escalating the situation. The kid tried to end the situation several times, but the "adult" just wouldn't go on his way. Just because the kid says "Bro" a bunch of times means nothing and has nothing do with intellect. You obviously have no idea how teens & twenty somethings talk. BTW, the "kid" is 22 years old.

If the same guy did the same thing to YOU, what are you going to do?? I'm certain you aren't going take it and say nothing.
Apperantly if he was on the boat he`d be acting just like that piece of $hit bully or idly sitting by like the rest of those pussies that didn`t say a word and let that peice of $hit keep assaultig the kid. Tommy would be right there on board I guess.

Wildman,

My assumption was regarding running the pass at night, but, aight.... Seems like there should be though...? Because it's dumb, and there are dumb people who don't think its dumb.

I hope the rest of them get a pass on it, being passengers that didn't participate. My guess they didn't imagine it would escalate the way it did. They shouldn't be held liable for the actions of the captain of the boat they were on. And we did hear one of them say "Let's get back on this boat"....

Thanks. Brad.

The reason you can run at night has to do with it not being a lake. Not sure where this bridge is but remember that commercial traffic goes through these same openings.

Think of the Ohio river, are you going to make barges slow down to idle at every bridge?

IF I am out at night I can say I light the opening up with my spot before I cruise through SLOWLY just because. Personally I am not a fan of night boating unless it's just around our canals at idle.

One of the guys on the boat was a North Port Fireman. Even if he doesn't have the guts to at least tell the jerk to cool it, he had an obligation as a Fireman and public servant to dial 911 as soon as the jerk jumped on the kid's boat.

What the Phuck is wrong with people with guys repeating Bro over and over and girls with the Dude word ?

Pile On.
every generation has sayings or words other generations before them do not like. Just like in yours calling someone a jive turkey would get you into a fight. Just think about that and how dumb that sounds. Or groovy we can go on and on.

I'm not defending the guy at all as he was clearly in the wrong and took it waayyyy too far and should have been ventilated....that being said...I will be one of the few that agrees with Tommy to a point, the "kid" did get pretty snappy right at the start cussing and stuff which didn't help the situation at all, I do not agree that the kid deserved the lashing he got at all. I'm mean honestly if you've been boating on any type of regular basis in an area with fisherman then something like this will happen at some point. Around here, the fisherman are always in the right and the "jacka$$ in the loud boat" is always in the wrong regardless so I can see the POINT of the argument on both sides.

Again, I do NOT condone what that jackoff did and he should be locked up for it, however, the "kid" could have handled it a little better is all I'm saying. If someone wants to yell at me and be a dipsh!t, fine whatever, I'll probably yell back, throw him the bird, and move on....you try jumping on my boat and we are going to have a serious frickin problem!

It's undisputed who is right / wrong.... Nobody should defend the Expert charter captain. The funny thing is though, this isn't the first video to surface of guys jumping into other peoples boats over fishing related stuff. I've seen countless number of videos, especially in the NE. All these guys are crazzy.

I do have a question though, since on every forum or farcebook post it comes up as he's just a "Kid". At what point does a kid become a man, "Bro"?
Is it 22, 25, 30, 35+? Do we change the drinking age to 30 since anything younger they're just kids?

My oldest is 19. If he identified himself as a kid, I'd spank him for doing so, then slap myself for the way I raised him. My $.02
