36 Doug Wright is a great choice if you’re looking to spend under $500,000. It handles rough water really good and it’s fast. We did quite a few FMO runs last year with no problem.

I hear that the Doug Wrights leave quite a bit to ask in terms of a working set-up and quality finish the way they come from the factory.

Correct or not?

Isn't wave and wheels doing everything now? I thought just the hulls were made down here in Melbourne and sent to them.

Not an issue anymore. All hulls are built by Doug and Jr. in FL and completely finished in MO under DWR moving forward.

My 36 was rigged and dialed in by Grant Signature Racing. Full Alcantara interior by Jaime Borg, and it was painted by Doug Harrell Designs. I'd say you're incorrect (at least about the 36's) as the others were rigged and painted by PBC.

My understanding is that it was hard work for PBC.

They definitely didn’t ‘improve’ trying to do it themselves.

If it was hard work why are they still doing it themselves with their "Performance Powerboat" ? I'm just talking about paint and rigging. They got bare hulls from DW originally.

My understanding is that using to DW build the hulls created so much downstream effort for PBC that they gave up on DW and found another solution.

That could be. All I know is if you look at a 36 DW and you look at a P360 they look almost identical :drink:
