My understanding is that using to DW build the hulls created so much downstream effort for PBC that they gave up on DW and found another solution.
There is numerous older articles and posts about the changes in ownerships etc... Bottom line, Previous to last year, DW builds the Hulls and different companies finished them. Now Waves and Wheels is owner, you get the complete package.... I think it is safe to say, they were/are the "Gold Standard" all the other companies compete against. |
Performance Powerboats is alive and well. We offer a P280, P360 and a P420. All hulls/molds are owned by Performance and are laid up in our plant in Texas by our employees.
Boats are shipped from Texas to LOTO and are painted and rigged in house. Feel free to stop by anytime and I will give you a full tour! |

That could be. All I know is if you look at a 36 DW and you look at a P360 they look almost identical :drink:

I went with DWR/Doug Wright Powerboats 42 for reasons you listed (except top speed—it is fast). My kids are 6 & 7 and love it!

Is Victory making a pleasure boat cat that would be a sister-ship of the Raymarine raceboat? If yes, what is the price point compared to a similar DW? I’ve always liked Skater and MTI cats, but I am really impressed with the Victory raceboat and DWs.

The excitement around Victory pleasure boats died down due to unspecified quality problems.
